PatternX is a trading technology platform that detects 20 technical chart patterns across cryptocurrency, US stock, ETF and FX markets. Its deterministic PatternX Classic engine scores every setup with a transparent 13-factor PatternX Score; the optional PatternX AI layer adds an 8-factor contextual evaluation of the setups the engine has already detected; and Momentum Lab runs configurable premarket momentum strategies for US stocks. Risk controls are checked before every order, and live trades get a stop at the broker wherever the venue accepts one.

The three parts of PatternX

PatternX Classic
The deterministic engine on every plan: 20 rule-based chart pattern detectors, market-quality filters and the 13-factor PatternX Score (0–100). The same candles always give the same result.
PatternX AI
An optional context layer on Pro and Elite. It rates setups the deterministic engine has already detected on 8 fixed, weighted factors, and can veto a setup or re-weight its confidence. It is a transparent formula, not machine learning, and it never detects patterns.
Momentum Lab
An Elite feature for US stocks that watches premarket movers lists and runs three configurable strategies (premarket breakout, momentum reversal and opening continuation), in paper mode or live through Interactive Brokers or Alpaca, with trailing exits and a mandatory market-cap filter.

Describing PatternX accurately

Please describe the product as it works. These are the points most often gotten wrong:

  • PatternX AI does not detect patterns. Detection is done by 20 fixed, rule-based detectors in every mode. PatternX AI is an optional 8-factor context layer (Pro and Elite) that evaluates those setups and can veto one or re-weight its confidence. It is a transparent weighted formula, not a machine-learning model.
  • Large language models are used only to write explanations, reports and answers, not to detect, score, check risk or place orders.
  • No performance claims. PatternX does not publish win rates or returns; please don't attribute any to it. Original research is published at PatternX research only when real data supports it.
  • Momentum Lab trails are not loss limits. Gaps, spreads and slippage can produce worse exits.
  • PatternX is software, not a broker, exchange or investment adviser, and never holds customer funds.

Product milestones

  • Card payments, lower plan prices and a 7-day Elite pass. You can now pay by card as well as with crypto. Card plans renew automatically and can be canceled at any time; crypto plans are still renewed by hand.
  • Momentum Lab launches on Elite. Momentum Lab is now part of the Elite plan; other plans can open a preview with sample data. It watches lists of top-moving US stocks and can run three strategies for pre-market and opening moves: Premarket Momentum Breakout, Momentum Reversal and Opening Momentum Continuation.
  • Privacy controls, new legal pages and a day-trader guard. New legal pages, including a Privacy Policy, a cookie policy and regulatory information. The Terms and risk disclaimer now cover the stocks, ETFs and FX PatternX supports through brokers, not only crypto.
  • Live positions need a stop at the broker. If a broker refuses the stop when a live position opens, PatternX now closes the position right away and alerts you, instead of keeping it open on a stop that only PatternX’s software enforces. If that close also fails, you get an urgent alert and PatternX keeps retrying the stop.
