Cookies & Storage
Last updated 5 October 2026
Everything we store in your browser
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| patternx_session | Cookie โ strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in. A signed, httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax token. It carries no profile and is never readable by scripts or third parties. | Until you log out or it expires |
| px-theme | Local storage โ functional | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme so the page does not flash on load. | Until you clear site data |
| px-install-dismissed | Local storage โ functional | Remembers that you dismissed the "install the app" prompt so it stops reappearing. | Until you clear site data |
| px-mlab-board-tab | Local storage โ functional | Remembers which Momentum Lab board tab you last opened (signed-in Elite accounts only). | Until you clear site data |
| patternx-support-open | Session storage โ functional | Keeps the homepage support chat open or closed as you left it while the tab is open. | Until you close the tab |
That is the complete list. If you block the session cookie you cannot stay logged in; the others only remember your own choices and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
Email open and click measurement
Marketing emails โ and only marketing emails โ may contain a 1ร1 tracking image and links that pass through a redirect, so we can count opens and clicks for that campaign. Under Article 5(3) ePrivacy this needs your consent, so we send marketing email only to people who opted in, and the measurement stops the moment you unsubscribe.
Transactional email โ verification, password resets, security alerts, payment receipts, trade notifications โ carries no tracking pixel and no redirect links. You cannot opt out of those while you hold an account, because they are how the service tells you what it did with your money.
You can stop marketing email from the link in any such message, from Settings, or by writing to privacy@patternx.io. Blocking remote images in your email client also defeats the pixel.
Third parties
No third party sets a cookie through PatternX. Charts, scripts and fonts are served from our own origin, so loading a page contacts no one else. When you follow a link to an exchange, a broker or our payment provider you leave PatternX and that site's own cookie policy applies.
